About Composer Pro
Composer has been completely redesigned to make the process of managing program schedules and playlists simple and intuitive. We've also upgraded the way we store and access the data in Composer so that it's faster, and can be accessed through an API. Composer's API will open the door to integration with automation systems, website CMSs, mobile apps and more.
- A simple way to manage your program schedule and playlists. When you add program or playlist data to Composer, the changes will automatically be pushed to your website and NPR's API, which powers NPR's mobile app as well as other apps and websites built by 3rd parties.
- Preloaded with 28 million songs. The new song search is powered by a song database containing info on more than 28 million songs from all genres of music. Metadata includes album art, 90 second samples and links to buy on iTunes, in addition to the basic track information like artist name, composer, label, etc.
- Built on an API to allow custom integrations. Want to build playlists automatically from your automation system? Or show recently played songs in your station's new mobile app? Composer's API will make it easy for stations to get their data into and out of Composer for their own custom projects.
