Doug runs Technology for NPR Digital Services. DS Tech builds and hosts a suite of web and digital products for public media member station. DS Tech also builds and contributes technology to the Drupal and Wordpress open source communities, and supports Public Media's usage of the NPR API. Doug has over 15 years managing diverse technical teams in the embedded, desktop, mobile and web application spaces.
Prior to joining NPR, Doug ran a collection of open source projects in the Eclipse Community and served on the Eclipse Board of Directors. In addition to being an early participate in two start-up companies; Doug founded a higher education web publishing start-up. Doug is a strong proponent of open source software and communities, organizational design, and Agile methodologies. Doug holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering.
