Jason is a veteran in digital product development, having led the development of news, commerce and search platforms - inside and outside of media, with major news organizations and startups – and always with a strategic focus on serving the needs of the audience. Beginning as a Program Manager helping launch the toys and consumer-electronics stores at Amazon.com, Jason moved on to New York Times Digital where he led product development for Abuzz, an early personalized information platform. From there he joined Boston.com where he developed BostonWorks.com, considered at the time to be one of the most successful online employment verticals. Jason has also led product development for several startups including Practically Green, a Cambridge-based green living company and Compass Aging Services, a startup focused on the challenges of senior care. He has also written Serendeputy, a news personalization engine, and has worked as a product strategy consultant, helping senior leadership across a range of industries build product and technology strategies.
Jason has also taught English in China, worked as a Habitat for Humanity International Builder, and served as a Civic Leadership Institute Fellow for Boston Cares. He is a graduate of Syracuse University.
