Last weekend, tens of thousands descended upon Austin, Texas for the start of the 2014 South by Southwest Festival. The nine day event, which continues through March 16, is a huge operation. It features musical performances at more than 100 venues, highly anticipated TV and movie premieres and even an interview with NSA leaker, Edward Snowden

One station has taken to Tumblr to cover the massive event. KCRW is in it's third year of using the micro blogging platform to aggregate it's coverage.

Their site for this year's festival featured previews of performers leading up to the start of SXSW, as well as photos and videos of musicians and speakers, the events and parties around the festival grounds and KCRW team

Tumblr also allows the station to show off their Spotify account, where they have over 80,000 followers and an archive of playlists, including one with the music performed at this year's SXSW

You can also take a look at KCRW's event-based Tumblr blogs for the 2014 Sundance Festival, Coachella 2013 and the 2013 Latin American Music Conference
